Vice President for Administration (VPA)With over 1,600 employees in eight very different departments, VPA is the largest organization in Harvard’s central administration. VPA interests range from woody trees and shrubs to crystal stemware and silver; from the writings of world-renowned scholars to University mail and parking services; from meal plans and food literacy to power plants and advertising rates; from commercial leases and project design to public approvals and faculty condos. Mirroring Harvard’s commitment to excellence in teaching and research, the VPA departments share a desire to deliver outstanding products and services, find opportunities to promote efficiency, constantly improve already-high standards, and develop fair and collaborative workplaces. |

The past decade has seen an explosion of technologies that could dramatically change the communication/collaboration landscape, with more yet to come.
